I had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend. After a long and busy week at work, I needed this weekend.
Friday night after work, I got a chocolate chip pizza from pizza inn and Netflixed the rest of the night. Probably didn’t need that pizza, but it made my night!

Saturday morning we slept in. Then we headed to town and went to a few antique stores and flea markets. We probably do this once every 1-2 months, if we get bored on a Saturday and just want something to do. I love the simplicity and fun of it.

I’m not normally ever looking for anything specific when we go, just looking to see what pops out. And every now and then we’ll find something good.
This weekend we found a farmhouse style coffee table, like I’d been wanting. And the best part? It was only $45! I was overjoyed! We’d been holding off on buying one til we eventually move, but it was too good a deal to pass up.
John’s been thinking about taking up playing the guitar, so we went to a local music store as well.

For dinner we decided to try out a newer place downtown called Bamboo, a Japanese cuisine restaurant. For an appetizer we got the fried gyoza, which is essentially just fried dumplings. For dinner I had the hibachi steak and rice, and John had a Godzilla sushi roll and a poke bowl. We were stuffed!!
After dinner, we went home and played some Nintendo games and watched a movie. I burned my current favorite bath and body works candle, gingham. And, we just relaxed in our warm and cozy house.
Sunday morning I met up with some friends for brunch at my favorite place in town, Yesdog. We shared a mimosa bucket and had some wonderful brunch. I had a French toast sandwich, which consisted of a fried egg, hashbrowns, cheese, bacon, sausage, and raspberry jelly on texas toast topped with powder sugar and syrup. It was mouthwatering!!
After brunch we wandered into Buff City Soap, only to find out they were celebrating their first year in Jonesboro. They had wine, snacks, a photo booth, and a goody bag for paying customers. I was already going in to get some laundry soap (I loooove theirs), so it was a nice surprise! My friend Becca even won a face cream while we were there!
Next up we had facial appointments at Fizz Facial Bar. I did the hydracalm one since I have dry and sensitive skin. It comes with the cryo globes, which are cold glass globes they rub in circles and it feels amazing.

Feeling refreshed and relaxed, I headed home. I’ve spent the rest of the evening doing laundry and relaxing before another busy week begins. For dinner, I made a one skillet shrimp and asparagus meal, following the recipe here.
I’m working on a couple posts right now for y’all, hopeful to have them posted soon!
